TAMIL NADU GOVERNMENT BLACKLISTS UNITED INDIA INSURANCE
The Tamil Nadu department of industry has directed all industrial cooperative societies to stop using state-owned insurer United India after blacklisting it for failing to provide proper service in the settlement of claims. Societies currently insured with United India have been told to change their company when their policies come up for renewal, according to several local reports. The industry department has alleged that United Insurance failed to provide proper ser vices in settling the insurance claim of the Tamil Nadu Rubberised Coir Industrial Cooperative Society.
