ATRADIUS AND TOKIO MARINE SET UP JOINT VENTURE

Netherlands-based credit insurer Atradius has linked with Tokio Marine to form a joint venture service company that will help both companies in the offering of export credit corporations in Japan. Tokio Marine Nichido and Atradius Credit Management will be Tokyo-based. Atradius CEO Wilfried Verstraete said that “this is a further step in our Asian growth strategy and an important increase of our presence in Japan”. The venture is being staffed by both Atradius and Tokio Marine employees. Its two executive directors are Junichi Sekiguchi (CEO) and Bert van Haagen (deputy CEO).
