KLSE disclosure requirements for internet-related businesses

The recent popularity of dotCom businesses has raised concerns in the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (‘KLSE’) of the viability of some of these ventures. To safeguard the interests of investors, the KLSE has issued Practice Note 1/2000 on ‘Disclosure in Relation to Internet-related Businesses or E-Commerce Activities’. The Practice Note requires listed companies to provide full and timely disclosure of all their internet-related or E-Commerce ventures and sets out the minimum information that should be disclosed.
