Levitt spurs securities industry to T+1

Prior to his departure in mid-February 2001 from the post of chair of the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Arthur Levitt wrote a parting letter to all broker/dealers, transfer agents, mutual funds and advisors encouraging expeditious planning for T+1.
