Malaysia unveils ten-year masterplan for financial sector

A ten-year Financial Sector Masterplan (FSMP) was released on 1 March 2001 by the Central Bank, Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM). Spanning the period 2001 to 2010, it outlined BNM’s vision for the development of the banking and insurance sectors, and Labuan International Offshore Financial Centre.
