Brain damaged baby awarded £6.5mn

A girl has been awarded £6.5mn in compensation after suffering brain damage as a baby. She was born normally and sent home the same day. Midwives noticed she was jaundiced and three days later she received phototherapy and an exchange blood transfusion. If her condition had been spotted and treated earlier she would not have been left with cerebral palsy.
