£4,000 for crushed fingers

A man who suffered an injury to two fingers at work has won over £4,000 in compensation. He slipped whilst trying to remove some waste from machine, and his right hand slipped into a machine which crushed the index and middle fingers of his right hand requiring surgery. The settlement came after the employer conceded that it was in breach of Work Place Regulations and the Provision and Use of Work Equipment.
