Soldier wins sexual discrimination case
A female soldier has been awarded £12,000 in compensation for sexual discrimination by the Army. The woman did not win all
of her allegations at an employment tribunal – 12 of the 43 allegations were upheld, and six were time barred. She had originally
claimed £686,000. The successful claims involved insulting graffiti, cling film placed on women’s toilets, and the soldier’s
face being put on a shooting target.
