Shadow Home Secretary attacks compensation culture

The Shadow Home Secretary, David Davis, has attacked the compensation culture in the UK, and in particular the role of the Human Rights Act. Writing in the Spectator magazine, in an article entitled “Victim Nation,” he pointed to the ‘rights’ culture “which is now so deeply rooted in our society that we have lost all common sense about the relations of individuals to each other and to the state.”
