No collusion in illegal contract

Where an employer failed provide payslips, to deduct tax and national insurance contributions and understated the amount of wages for a foreign national who had only a limited knowledge of English, the employee did not collude in the illegal performance of her contract of employment. As a result, the employee was not prevented from pursuing a claim for unfair dismissal.
