Dura mater settlement
The Japanese health ministry and two companies – German supplier B Braun Melsungen and the Japanese importer – have reached
formal settlement with plaintiffs who sued in the Tokyo and Otsu district courts for their failure to ensure the safety of
human dura mater (brain/spinal cord sheathing) transplants leading to the onset of vCJD.
