Uranium pollution confirmed

A new report by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) confirms low-level pollution by uranium in Serbia and Montenegro. This is broadly consistent with earlier UNEP and Royal Society research. Continued monitoring is recommended, particularly of possible long-term contamination of water. The research also found more rapid corrosion of ammunition tips than expected.
