Occupational stress
A senior divisional administrative officer suffered stress and anxiety (work and home related) and reported this to his GP
in 1994. On his return to work a few months later he specifically required that any GP report be viewed by medical staff only.
In January 1995 he saw the police medical officer and assured him that the situation – lifestyle and work – were improved
and that he was no longer overworked. As a result, no further reviews were held.
