Survey reveals shopworkers abused at work

Nearly two-thirds of shopworkers have been verbally abused over the past year, according to the interim results of Usdaw’s Freedom From Fear survey. It revealed that 40 per cent of shopworkers were threatened and around 250 were assaulted every day. Abuse and assaults are up by 25 per cent compared to last year’s survey while threats increased by 38 per cent.
