PRA boss criticizes Solvency II details and implementation

Andrew Bailey, head of the newly instituted Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) has said that the EU’s Solvency II proposals, which aim to match more accurately the assets and liabilities of individual insurers, are “not comprehensive enough” when it comes to insurers’ capital adequacy.
