Negotiating the pitfalls of investing in music industry corporate deals

The music industry is vibrant and generates billions each year. Figures for 2011 currently show worldwide music industry revenues of US$67.6bn, which is just under US$7bn more than five years ago 1. The industry has undergone many changes in recent years, but there is still money to be made and opportunities for savvy investors. However, music industry corporate deals have a number of potential obstacles which need to be overcome as part of the negotiation and due diligence for the investor to reap the benefits from the venture.
