Ministry of Justice publishes civil justice system reform plans

The government has published its proposals for reform of the civil justice system in England and Wales to a chorus of support from insurers and disapproval from plaintiff lawyers. This response is not surprising. The debate over the need for reform or not has been extremely heated and these proposals were always going to be controversial.
