£62,500 compensation for burns injury

A young woman who suffered burns and psychological harm after an accident at work has received £62,500 in compensation. She worked in catering at her local nursing home. She was injured when the oven in the kitchen exploded as she attempted to light it. Although the burns she suffered healed in a matter of months, she was affected psychologically and was consequently unable to return to the catering industry.
