ACR LAUNCHES BRANCH OFFICE IN HONG KONG

ASIA CAPITAL RE (ACR) has obtained a licence from regulators in Hong Kong to open a branch office. The reinsurer, which is making waves in the region through its significant expansion since forming in Singapore in 2006, announced it has obtained a licence from the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance in Hong Kong which it said would allow it to better extend its products and services to the Hong Kong and north east Asian market, particularly China. This will be ACR’s first branch office – it already has representative offices in Taiwan, India, Bahrain and joint ventures in Malaysia, Dubai and Bahrain.
