European Commission consults on Consumer Product Risk Assessment Guidelines

The European Commission’s draft revised Risk Assessment Guidelines have now been put out to public consultation. The guidelines will play an important part in the practical operation of the regimes for product safety regulation in the EU, including the enforcement of the General Product Safety Directive. Manufacturers and suppliers have a valuable opportunity to have input into the final form of these guidelines before the consultation closes on 15 October 2008.
