Insurers at the Scottish Committee on pleural plaques

The Association of British Insurers (ABI) has told the Justice Committee of the Scottish Parliament that insurers “rely entirely on the unanimous decision by the House of Lords on the basis of completely agreed medical evidence that pleural plaques are benign; there are no symptoms associated with them other than in the most exceptional cases; and they do not develop into more serious conditions—they are inert biologically.”
