Damages over JCB accident

A man has received £2,600 compensation in an out of court settlement after he was injured in an accident at work. He was working via an agency at a waste processing company as a picker. On the day of his accident he was sweeping the floor when he was hit and knocked over by a JCB. He sustained injuries to his back. His solicitor said that companies operating in environments where workers and traffic may mix should consider the dangers this can cause, and that appropriate traffic routes accommodating both pedestrians and vehicles should be set and adhered to, to minimise the risk of accidents.
