Placement orders

E-P-B (a child) [2006] EWCA Civ 1016; NLJ 27 October

On the third day of the final hearing of care proceedings, the local authority applied for a placement order, having indicated at the pre-trial review that its adoption panel was meeting on the first day of the final hearing and if the panel approved adoption, an immediate placement application would be made. The judge made a care order and a placement order.
