Provision of transcripts

In re B (a child) [2006] CA (Civ Div) 14 June

Where permission to appeal is granted, there are no automatic circumstances in which a transcript of the judgment is provided to the parties unless it is requested. The court expressed the view that that situation should be reviewed as it was extremely important, particularly in situations where the application was granted without notice, that a respondent could understand the particular points he or she had to answer and be able to concede an appeal and save costs if that was applicable.
