Rakusens Ltd v Baser Ambalaj Plastik Sanayl Ticaret As (CA TLR 9 November)

The judge had erred in holding that the receipt and transmission of orders by an agent at his home address in England who transmitted them to a company in Turkey sufficed to establish that the company had a place of business in England. His address was not a ‘place of business established by the company in Great Britain’ within s695(2) of the Companies Act 1985.
