SINGAPORE TO TEST FINANCIAL INDUSTRY’S FLU PREPAREDNESS
Insurers and other financial institutions in Singapore will be taking part in a flu-preparation exercise later this month.
The exercise, which will involve more than 140 businesses including the Monetary Authority of Singapore and the Singapore
Exchange, is designed to test the robustness of the industry’s response to a deadly flu outbreak and ensure it can cope with
a potential flu pandemic. Two years ago financial institutions in Singapore took part in a simulated terrorist attack. This
latest exercise will run from August 28 to September 11.
