TCF initiative closes in on December deadline
With only six months left until the Financial Services Authority’s final deadline for its treating customers fairly initiative expires, the regulator said firms still have a long way to go to comply with the high level principles. Research following the March 2008 interim deadline, by which time retail firms were required to have management information in place in order to test whether they are treating customers fairly, found that of a sample of firms only 13% met the March deadline.
