FSA plans complaints league table
Firms with the worst records will be “named and shamed”
The UK regulator is planning to publish detailed complaints data collected on firms, which will name companies with the worst
complaints record. A discussion paper on how transparency can be used as a regulatory tool proposes listing about 125 companies,
which account for 95% of all recorded complaints, along with the total number of complaints received by the firm, how long
the firm takes to deal with complaints and redress paid by firms which will be updated twice a year.
