“Vouching-in” concept binds U.S. stevedores to result of London arbitration proceedings

In December 1977 the vessel Danaos was under time-charter and was loading cargo at Port Newark. During the course of loading by stevedores, the vessel’s Stulken Boom collapsed, damaging part of the cargo.
