I. LEGISLATION

1. The Maritime Code (MC 1994:1009)

Chapter 20, s. 5 on marine intoxication amended by the introduction of a 1 blood alcohol (50 mg per litre breath air) limit for presumption of gross intoxication rendering prison sentence obligatory (Prop 98/99:43, ParlCom 98/99:JuU15).

2. Vessels

Hovercraft Ordinance (1986:305) amended by Ordinance (1999:349), that owner must beware that his craft is not used without permit or approval or in violation of conditions. Fines for intentional or negligent breach.
Ship Safety Ordinance (1988:594) amended by Act (1999:699) adjusting sea areas to EC Council Directive EGT L 144, 15.5.1991: area A other than B-E; area B no more than 20 nautical miles from accessible shoreline; C area of max. significant wave height 2.5 m, max. 15 nm from protected water and 5 nm from accessible shore line; D max. significant wave height 1.5 m, max. 6 nm from protected water and 3 nm from accessible shore line; and E (Sw. addition) harbours, rivers, canals, lakes, protected archipelagic areas with max. significant wave height 0.5 m.
