Mareva injunction - What happens when there is a dispute over ownership of assets within jurisdiction?

The plaintiff commodity brokers brought proceedings against the defendant for U.S.$910,781. The defendant resided in Jordan. The plaintiffs obtained a Mareva injunction restraining the defendants from dealing with his assets within the jurisdiction so as to reduce them below the value of £700,000. At the same time, the defendant was ordered to swear an affidavit disclosing the nature, value and location of his assets within the jurisdiction, including any bank accounts. There was very little in those accounts.
