Claim for salvage remuneration - Whether time-barred - Whether 2 year limitation period to be calculated from date of place where salvage services rendered or on equivalent date in country which is the forum of the proceedings

On 24 October 1996 the plaintiff salvors brought proceedings in rem against the proceeds of sale of the ship Ionian Mariner claiming salvage remuneration pursuant to a salvage award made in London pursuant to LOF 90. The salvage services had taken place off the coast of Chile between 21 and 23 October 1994.
